Start with coaching tasks
L1 addresses foundational coaching: observing participants, organising a safe session, selecting appropriate drills and reflecting after delivery. Evidence includes observation records, a complete session plan, a four-week foundation programme and an observed coaching session. It is not a universal credential for every population or training problem.
L2 extends decisions across a programme
L2 connects needs analysis, testing, programming, implementation monitoring and review. Coaches explain both what they plan and why, including how they adapt when circumstances change. A testing plan, a 6–8-week project, implementation records, a case report and oral defence form the evidence. Entry requires L1 or an equivalent competence review and real coaching records.
Football Specialist is an application pathway
The first specialist pathway focuses on youth football, bringing weekly plans, match coordination and speed and strength integration into context. It requires L2 or equivalent competence review and football practice experience. It does not promise professional-team capability or rehabilitation credentials. Mentor, Educator and Assessor are future separately reviewed roles, not L3 or L4.
Choosing at this stage
Only L1 is currently inviting pilot-interest conversations. L2 and Football Specialist are planned. Explore L1 if you are building safe foundational delivery; if you already coach, discuss your existing capabilities and learning needs with Dan. KINTREON does not equate L1 or L2 with NSCA-CPT or CSCS and does not automatically convert external certificates.
